Privacy Policy Copito de Nieve
Copito de Nieve is an extension that briefly displays a small image of the gorilla Copito de Nieve (1966–2003).
What we collect
Nothing.
Copito de Nieve does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing data, or any other information about you. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no cookies, no tracking, and no third-party services.
What the extension does on your device
Reads the current page's `<body>` element so it can briefly overlay an image in the bottom-right corner.
Stores a single boolean preference (`enabled: true/false`) using Safari's local extension storage. This preference never leaves your device.
The extension's source code is approximately 60 lines of JavaScript and is open source: https://github.com/pieterdekroon-com/copito-de-nieve
Permissions explained
Read and alter all websites: required to overlay the image. The extension does not read the content of any website beyond inserting and removing one `<div>` element.
Data sharing
Copito de Nieve has no servers, no backend, and no network requests. There is nothing to share, even if we wanted to.
Children's privacy
The extension is suitable for all ages and does not collect any data, including from children. That said, whether kids under 10 should be on the internet at all is a different question — but hey, I'm not a dad.
